Hello,
My name is Doris Anne Beaulieu. I have a website-Life’s Ultimate Test dot com-on which you can learn more about my mission to change the face of home schooling.
I attended a parochial school as a child in the 1950's. In this Catholic school I was sheltered from the realities of the world around me-from swearing, from public displays of affection, from slang. These are often some of the same things that modern home schooling parents aim to protect their children from. A superior court judg…

I know that I am a bit late in posting this week's film of the week, but I am sure that you will forgive me. I could have gone with the much more family orientated MARLEY AND ME as my Friday the 13th recommendation, but I haven't. Istead, I have opted for BRONSON, a new British film from the folks at Vertigo Films, revolving around one of the Uk's most notorious criminals, Charles Bronson.
Vertigo Films will release the movie in Spring 2009
BRONSON is the evolutionary journey of Mickey Peterso…

It has always been a dream of mine to get my name up there in bright lights. When I was a kid I always wanted to be an actor, director, or a film producer – anything, just to have my name associated with a motion picture. I aspired to be like my childhood heroes, Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox or Die Hard's Bruce Willis, director John Woo or Steven Spielberg or producer Jerry Bruckheimer or the bearded one, Joel Silver. 31 long years have gone by in my life and that moment is about to be…

You know that you're getting old when you find out that Hollywood is starting to remake films that you grew up with. News reached us today that Michael 'Boom Boom' Bay's Platinum Dunes company is kicking a remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street into production in April. There is no cast attached as yet, but music video helmer Samuel Bayer is going to direct it.
'Nightmare' was probably the first horror film that I ever saw. I remember watching it back home in my dark bedroom in Gloucester, circa t…

Kevin Smith's latest film ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO hit cinema screens in the UK this past Friday. The film has one of those titles that literally says it all. Two old high-school friends, Zack (played by Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) find themselves behind on their rent, and bills coming out of their ears in the middle of winter in cold-ass Pittsburgh. So, to get rich quick, and get their water and electricity switched back on, the duo set about making their own 'porn' film. Hilarity…

Thought that I had better weigh in with my own, very quick, personal take on the latest big-screen exploits of Mr. 007. I finally managed to see the new James Bond last Sunday, with what I can only describe as the hangover from HELL! A day on the razz with my better half on Saturday definitely got the better of me. Anyway, I was still pleased to get to the screening of possibly one of the year's most anticipated flicks, QUANTUM OF SOLACE early in the afternoon.
We all know the story by now. Dan…

The story is that a family of four head out into the glorious, and seasonally decorated British countryside for a quick break in the days between Christmas and New Year to visit relatives, a couple who also have happen to have…
