What's your favourite scary movie?

I would have to say that mine is possibly either THE SHINING or maybe THE LAST HOUSE OF THE LEFT. I'm not really a die hard fan of horror, but would love to know what you guys recommend. Especially as Halloween is fast approaching.

I would recommend R-Point. A fantastic Korean film, very pyschologically creepy - rather than all out scares.

I find a lot of Asian films have more to offer in terms of Horror, especially compared to their hollywood remakes!

amityville horror (the old version) is very creepy. and also The ring when she crawls out the telly. Japanese version.

You've gotta check out 'High Tension' - director Alexandre Aja, it's a French movie though it's Audio is in English - well you know adjust it in the settings. Anyway it's a great twist and very bloody. One scene is kinda sick as the killer, is sat in his van using a severed head to um give himself....well you know.

A great blood fest well worth seeing!!

Hi David--High Tension is known as Switchblade Romance in the U.K. and you are right -it's a great movie ,very gory ,with a twist in the tale.A fantastic horror film .not for the squeamish! Audition is also a good movie ,again ,very gory!

I say my fave is dawn of the dead, it tottaly awesome! I have seen lot of zombie movie all my life and I still love horror films.
